Which Printify Products To Sell On Etsy?
When using Printify with Etsy, one of the first steps is to explore the product catalog available on Printify to decide what to sell.
The product catalog includes a wide range of items that you can customize and sell on your Etsy store. From clothing and accessories to home decor and gifts, Printify offers a diverse selection of products that you can personalize with your unique designs.
To explore the product catalog, simply sign in to your Printify account and click on Catalog on the top navigation bar.
Here, you can browse through different categories and subcategories to find the products that align with your niche and target audience.
Each product listing provides details such as the available sizes, colors, materials, and print suppliers for that item.
Ideally you want to choose a print supplier from the Printify network, that is located in your target market i.e. you dont want a supplier in Germany if you are mainly selling to USA.
By exploring the product catalog on Printify, you can find the right products to showcase your designs and create a compelling and diverse range of offerings on your Etsy store.
Selecting the right Print-On-Demand Products for your Etsy store
When selecting the right products for your Etsy store with Printify, it’s important to consider your target audience and the current market trends. Here are some steps to help you make informed decisions:
- Research popular products on Etsy: Take a look at the top-selling items on Etsy to get an idea of what customers are currently interested in.
- Analyze customer demand: Use tools like Alura, or EtsyHunt to identify items that have a high demand. Look for products that align with your niche and have a good balance of competition and potential sales.
- Consider production and shipping costs: Calculate each product’s production and shipping costs. This will help you determine the pricing strategy for your listings and ensure that you can maintain a profitable margin.
- Evaluate product quality: Check customer reviews and ratings for each product you are considering. It’s important to choose high-quality items that will meet customers’ expectations and help you build a positive reputation on Etsy.
- Think about customization options: Consider whether you want to offer products that can be customized with your own designs. Printify offers a variety of customizable items, such as t-shirts, mugs, and phone cases, which can help you stand out from the competition.
- Test your products: Before adding a large number of products to your Etsy store, it’s a good idea to order a few samples from Printify to ensure that the quality meets your expectations. This isn’t necessary, but I ordered a t-shirt, a sweatshirt and a hoodie so I could feel the quality of the product.
By carefully selecting the right products for your Etsy store, with the help of Printify’s extensive catalog and customization options, you can create a unique and profitable business on Etsy.
Adding Printify Products To Etsy

Choose a print provider. If you dont know which to choose, chose one from near the top (they are listed with the highest-scoring supplier at the top. Choose one that offers the colors that you want at a price you are happy to pay.
For selling in the USA I like Swift POD (because they are cheap) and Monster Digital.
Click Start Designing
Then simply drag and drop your design from your computer to Printify.
This uploads your design to their platform where you can adjust it to the right size and position it as you want.
Your designs need to be PNG and 300dpi in quality with a transparent background.
Select the product colors in the top right-hand corner
Click Preview to see your item in a true to life mockup to get a feel as to what your product will look like once printed.
Then click Save Product
On the next screen you can select mockups to use.
Untick the Back View mockup unless you are printing a design on the back of your item (see below)
You can enter your Product Title and Product Description or save these till later and update them in Etsy.
Assign A shipping profile to the item. Printify can automatically do this for you using Printify shipping rates.
Set your pricing. Be sure to check the costs of the different sizes and colors. These can differ which will impact your profit if you get it wrong.
In the visibility settings, I always click Hide In Store (see below) so that Printify sets the item to draft in your Etsy shop and I set the Variant Visibility to show all variants with out of stock items shown as Sold Out.
Now click Publish.
Your first listing is ready to be finalized.
Finalizing & Optimizing Product On Etsy
Now you have your item published to your Etsy store you need to go and finish it and optimize it for Etsy SEO.
Fill in the required listing details such as title, description, tags, and pricing for the product listing on Etsy.
Add any additional images, mockups, or infographics which are a great way to get information to customers who don’t like to read (like me).
Top Tip – Think about using free shipping. Etsy loves it and gives you a little boost in search.
Check the pricing and shipping profile to ensure it’s correct.
