Once you are in to the tool you are greeted with the chat interface.

Here you simply type a question or ask ChatGPT to write something and it will generate text and provide a human-like response.

If at any point you dont like the answer you can get the bot to rewrite it or amend it in a certain way, e.g. make it less formal.

I can then use these as tags or in titles or descriptions or in my Etsy listings in just a few clicks. Not only does this help my products show up in more searches, but it also ensures that the right customers are finding my shop.

ChatGPT Limitations

While ChatGPT has numerous benefits to offer, it’s crucial to be aware of its limitations as well.

ChatGPT has been trained on a massive amount of data, but that data was only up to September 2021. Anything newer than that, the tool does not know about.

ChatGPT may not always understand queries accurately or provide the desired response. You can provide it more information to help get the desired response though so it’s worth giving links to articles to assist it if relevant.

However, despite these limitations, ChatGPT still provides immense value for e-commerce businesses like Etsy due to its ability to handle tasks such as generating FAQ’s, responding to customer inquiries, and brainstorming relevant tags and titles.
