My top three print on demand suppliers, Printful, Gelato and Printify all offer subscription plans.
Are any of the subscription plans good enough to impact your choice of POD supplier, no.
If you use these suppliers you should sign up to their membership as they offer discounted product costs and additional functionality and features.
POD Membership Summary
Printful Growth Membership – OK discounts of up to 30% on some products (most are less than this). Membership if free if you sell over $12,000 in a year.
Printify Premium – 20% off all products and access to Printify Connect, a platform where Printify provides a level of customer support on your behalf.
Gelato+ – Up to 25% discount and additional tools not offered by Printify or Printful.

Printify Premium is Printify’s membership / subscription plan that provides discounts on all products and access to Printify Connect.

20% discount on all products is a solid discount and a lot easier to understand than Printful and Gelato who both have varying discounts on their produts.
The 20% discount results in the following:
Gildan 5000 t-shirt is reduced by $1.32 from $6.60 to $5.28 (cheapest Printify supplier)
Gildan 18500 hoodie is reduced by $4.21 from $18.45 to $14.21

- Then select whether you want to pay monthly or annually (and save 14%)

Is Printify Premium Worth It?
If you sell using Printify already Printify Premium is worth it.
The 20% discount across all products is marketleading.
If you don’t sell using Printify, the 20% discount on Printify’s already low costs makes the POD supplier hard to beat.
Gelato+
What Is Gelato+?
Gelato+ is Gelato Print On Demands paid for membership that provides price reductions and a long list of perks and additional tools.
How Much Is Gelato+?
Gelato Plus is $23 per month or $19.99 if paid annually.
What Perks Does Gelato+ Give You?
Gelato Plus provides the following perks:
- 14 day trial (of features not the discounts)
- Product discounts up to 25%
- Premium Mockups and stock images
- Powerful AI tools such as AI poersonalisation and magic mockups
- Subscription applies to up to unlimited number of stores

The discounts on offer from Gelato very generous and in many cases are higher than Printify and Printful.

Is Gelato+ Worth It?
Yes, the Gelato+ subscription is worth it.
From a pure cost perspective, you only need to sell 5 Gildan hoodies a month to earn your money back. However, the tools and features Gelato provides really are a game changer.
Some companies (hellocustom) charge $29 a month for functionality that is nowhere near as good as the Gelato personalisation studio. Add in the Magic Mock-Ups, Premium Mock-Ups and other features and Gelato+ is a no brainer.

What Is Printful Growth Membership?
Printful Growth is Printful’s membership program that provides members with discounts and perks in exchange for a monthly fee.
What Does Printful Growth Cost?
Printful Growth costs $24.99 per month (or £19.99).
There is no annual option. However, if you spend over $12,000 in any 12 month period you will receive a year of the Printful membership absolutely free.
If you do over $60,000 in yearly sales, you get promoted to the Printful Business Membership which brings even greater benefits and perks.
What Perks does Printful Growth give you?
Printful Growth gives the following perks:
- FREE 14-day trial
- Up to 20% off DTG products
- Up to 30% off other categories
- Product branding discounts of 7%
- Personalized product transfer assistance
- Unlimited stores per account

Given the example discounts above, you’d only need to sell 7 hoodies a month to be better off with Printful Growth.
Should You Sign Up for a POD Subscription?
Yes, you should sign up for a POD subscription plan as all three reviewed in this article reduce the prices of items in the product catalog and provide additional perks.
The memberships give you lower costs. Lower costs mean you can either make more margin or sell at a lower price and still make a decent margin.
If you have lower costs than your competitors, you can beat them on price.
Gelato+ provides access to additional functionality like the automated Etsy personalization tool that can save you time and money.
Printful Growth Vs Printify Premium Vs Gelato+
Which is best?
Looking at pricing only, then Gelato+ which provides upto 25% discounts on products that are already some of the cheapest on offer.
Looking at features, then you cant look past Gelato+. If you arent already selling personalised products, you need to. The profit margins are far higher and due to the AI functionality, the whole thing is automated with Gelato+
